| The three styles of serial number fonts used on the metical notes are shown here. The top font is used on the notes dated 6 June 1980 and on some 100-meticais notes dated 6 June 1983. The second font is used on the notes dated 6 June 1983 (noting the exception above to the 100-meticais notes), the notes dated 6 June 1986, and the 5000-meticais dated 3 February 1988. The third font is used for the 5000-meticais dated 3 February 1989 and the notes dated 6 June 1989. |
